Lotte Hi-Mart Launches Dustbin Auto-Empty Vacuum Cleaner Priced Around 200,000 KRW

Lotte Hi-Mart announced on the 15th that it will launch the 'Single ONE UV Sterilization Station Vacuum Cleaner,' emphasizing cost-effectiveness. The station vacuum cleaner is a product that includes a stand capable of storing, charging, and emptying dust all at once, making post-use maintenance convenient.


The Single ONE Station Vacuum Cleaner is sold at 299,000 KRW, about 60% cheaper than similar products from major manufacturers with comparable specifications. It is also priced at the lowest level among all station vacuum cleaners sold by Lotte Hi-Mart.

The Single ONE Station Vacuum Cleaner is competitive not only in price but also in features and after-sales service (AS). It is equipped with an 'automatic dustbin closing' function, reflecting customer feedback that dust scatters and hands get dirty when closing the dustbin manually. Hi-Mart explains that this feature is rare in cost-effective station vacuum cleaners priced around 200,000 KRW. The AS service period has also been extended to 3 years, unlike the typical 1-year warranty offered by major home appliance manufacturers.


The vacuum cleaner also provides two types of ultraviolet sterilization (UVC) brushes (main and bedding) to be used according to the cleaning area. It is equipped with an H13-grade HEPA filter, the highest grade used in vacuum cleaners, to prevent fine dust and yellow dust bacteria sucked in by the vacuum from escaping outside. The usage time allows up to 50 minutes of cleaning after 4 to 5 hours of charging, enabling cleaning without time constraints.


Single ONE is Lotte Hi-Mart’s private brand (PB) launched in May this year, characterized by reasonable prices tailored to the cost-conscious consumer trend. The Single ONE Station Vacuum Cleaner is the second product under the Single ONE brand, following the 'Single ONE Refrigerator' released in May. The previously launched Single ONE Refrigerator was also priced at 299,000 KRW, selling out its initial 3,000 units within two weeks and surpassing 20,000 units sold in about 100 days.


Lotte Hi-Mart plans to expand the Single ONE PB series to kitchen and household appliances such as 'smokeless grills' in the second half of this year and introduce PB products tailored to the demands of people in their 20s and 30s and 1-2 person households.


Park Byung-yong, head of Lotte Hi-Mart’s PB Strategy Office, said, "The newly launched station vacuum cleaner offers price competitiveness and peace of mind with a 3-year AS service provided by Lotte Hi-Mart, which has infrastructure across more than 330 stores nationwide. We plan to introduce various reasonably priced PB products in line with the current high-inflation consumer trend."


Meanwhile, to commemorate the launch of the Single ONE Station Vacuum Cleaner, Lotte Hi-Mart is holding a product review event. Customers who purchase the product at stores or online shopping malls from the 12th of this month until the 27th of next month can leave a comment at the bottom of the event page or write a product review in My Page by October 4th. Among participants, about 40 people will be selected by lottery to receive up to 100,000 L.POINTs.
