Eat Malbok Health Foods and Have a Healthy Summer

Gwangju Hyoryeong Town Volunteers Serve Samgyetang to Over 1,000 Seniors

On Malbok day, the 14th, Hyoryeong Senior Welfare Town, affiliated with the Gwangju Social Service Center, provided Samgyetang, a health-boosting chicken soup, to about 1,000 local senior citizens.

Volunteers for the meal distribution included Director Jeong Gyeong-nam, Mrs. Yoo Gwi-sook, the spouse of Gwangju Mayor Kang Ki-jung, and staff members, who comforted the local elderly suffering from the sweltering heat.

Director Jeong Gyeong-nam of Hyoryeong Town said, "Hyoryeong Town is serving as a cool retreat for local seniors," adding, "We will continue to do our best to manage the health of the elderly and provide better services."
