Youth Participation Organization, Cheonan Youth Center Eum, and 12-University Joint Festival Highly Praised
Cheonan City in Chungnam announced on the 14th that it has won the Grand Prize at the 2024 Youth-Friendly Constitutional Award.
The Youth-Friendly Constitutional Award is given to local governments that have made efforts to improve the quality of life for young people through youth policies, legislation, and communication. Cheonan City previously received the Policy Award for two consecutive years in 2022 and 2023.
In this year's evaluation, Cheonan City was recognized for its achievements in policies such as the Youth Participation Organization, Cheonan Youth Center Eum, operation of the Cheonan Youth Portal Damoa website, Youth Challenge Project, Cheonan-style Youth Employment Linkage Program, the 12 Universities Joint Festival, and the creation of University Street.
Mayor Park Sangdon said, "I am very pleased that this award officially recognizes the various policies Cheonan City has implemented so far to improve the lives of young people," and added, "We will continue to do our best to create a youth-friendly city where young people can freely pursue their passion, dreams, and potential."
