'Idea Pangpang, Outstanding Achievements'... Gumi City Selects Proactive Public Officials

Ten Outstanding Public Officials Selected for Proactive Administration in 2024

Gumi City in North Gyeongsang Province has selected outstanding proactive public officials for 2024 in order to foster a culture of proactive administration where ideas are freely expressed and achievements are sincerely encouraged.


First place was awarded to Heo Seongeun, an officer from the Collection Division, for contributing to increased tax revenue through "the first-ever provisional seizure cancellation for delinquent tax collection in North Gyeongsang Province."

This case applied a debt collection method that required in-depth analysis and legal review, achieving the collection of a total of 200 million KRW in court deposits through court rulings such as cancellation of collateral and provisional seizure for delinquent taxpayers.


In particular, the application of specialized delinquent tax collection techniques?such as Gumi City's first collateral cancellation and North Gyeongsang Province's first provisional seizure cancellation?adds even greater significance to the achievement.


Second place went to An Byeongcheol, team leader of Okseong-myeon, who used various leftover construction funds to purchase asphalt concrete for frequent maintenance of old farm roads and potholes, thereby preventing various accidents.

Third place was awarded to Lee Eunkyung, team leader, who participated in every stage from project planning to operation of the only "Gumi + Neonatal Intensive Care Center" in North Gyeongsang Province.
