Neptune Reports 51.4 Billion KRW in H1 Sales... Aims to Strengthen Profitability with New Releases in H2

Neptune announced on the 14th that its consolidated sales for the second quarter of this year reached 26.83 billion KRW, with an operating profit of 750 million KRW. For the first half of the year, sales totaled 51.4 billion KRW, and operating profit was 1.48 billion KRW. The company also achieved five consecutive quarters of profitability.

In the gaming business, first-half sales reached 43.56 billion KRW. Its subsidiary TripleA achieved 9.9 billion KRW in sales in the second quarter, a roughly 69% increase compared to the previous quarter, thanks to the strong performance of the idle management simulation game "Goyang-i Office," released in May. The flagship long-running mobile game "Muhan-ui Gyedan" (Infinite Stairs) saw sales increase by more than 47% compared to the second quarter of last year, despite being a 10-year-old game.

The advertising platform business recorded cumulative advertising transaction volume of 36.75 billion KRW and cumulative sales of 6.28 billion KRW in the first half.

Neptune plans to focus all efforts on strengthening profitability in the second half of the year. The company aims to release a total of six titles, including three new games from TripleA. Additionally, Neptune signed its first publishing contract with game developer Funstay to attempt entry into overseas markets and plans to advance its game publishing business step-by-step.

In the advertising platform business, Neptune will expand its existing strategy, which focused solely on non-rewarded ads, by launching a new rewarded advertising platform.

Neptune CEO Kang Yul-bin stated, "We expect the business environment in the second half to be similar to or worse than now due to the ongoing economic downturn and external uncertainties," but emphasized, "However, through the release of six new titles and proven new businesses such as the rewarded advertising platform, we will increase operating profit and continue to improve cost efficiency."
