Abko Reports 3.1 Billion KRW Operating Profit in Half-Year... "Recovery in High-Value Gaming Gear Demand"

Abko announced on the 14th that it achieved a half-year sales revenue of 35.3 billion KRW and an operating profit of 3.1 billion KRW. Although sales revenue decreased compared to the same period last year, operating profit turned positive due to improved profitability.

The Q2 performance recorded sales revenue of 13.3 billion KRW and an operating profit of 450 million KRW. Delivery of the PadBank charging storage units was deferred to Q3, and the gaming gear division experienced a seasonal downturn, resulting in a smaller scale compared to Q1. However, through continuous business efficiency improvements and cost structure optimization, the company maintained operating profits for five consecutive quarters.

The company explained that despite the economic downturn, it plans to continue strong performance in the second half of the year by expanding the proportion of high value-added product lines and improving the PadBank business. In particular, having established a solid foundation for maintaining profitability through ongoing workforce and cost structure innovation, it expects the positive earnings trend to continue.

An Abko representative said, "Q2 is traditionally an off-season for the gaming gear division, but by focusing on sales of high value-added products and optimizing the cost structure, we achieved operating profits for five consecutive quarters. In Q3, performance is expected to grow compared to Q2 as deferred PadBank deliveries are reflected."

He added, "We are also making proactive investments to secure mid- to long-term competitiveness. The Gimpo 2nd logistics center, aimed at strengthening logistics capabilities, is being constructed without delay and is scheduled for completion in March next year," he emphasized.
