According to the police, the Liberty Unification Party plans to hold a large-scale rally around Sejong-daero at 1 p.m. on the 15th, Liberation Day, and then march to Samgakji Rotary via Hangang-daero starting at 3:30 p.m.
Conservative groups also plan to hold rallies around Sejong-daero and then march to Jongno, Euljiro, and other areas at similar times. Traffic congestion is expected in these areas.
The Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency will deploy about 200 traffic police officers around the rally and march routes to minimize inconvenience to citizens.
A police official said, "Severe traffic congestion is expected around Sejong-daero and Jongno," and urged, "Please use the subway as much as possible, and if you use a vehicle, check the controlled areas in advance through the Traffic Information Center website, etc."
