Suwon City Conducts 'Comprehensive Survey' of 1,760 Households with Overdue Management and Rent Fees Suwon City Hall

The city of Suwon in Gyeonggi Province will conduct a full survey of households that have fallen behind on apartment management fees or public rental housing rents to identify 'residents at housing risk.'

On the 14th, Suwon City announced that it will investigate 1,760 households that have been delinquent for more than four months in apartment management fees or public rental housing rents by September 13.

Suwon City will examine the living conditions of delinquent households to identify and confirm family members with welfare needs, and connect households requiring assistance to appropriate welfare services. Additionally, for those eligible for basic livelihood or basic housing benefits, the city will verify the delinquency, assess the appropriateness of benefits, investigate additional risk factors, and provide necessary services.

Since 2021, Suwon City has been conducting full surveys of those delinquent in apartment management fees and public housing rents to identify households at housing risk. The city discovers individuals who have no prior entry into the public system, provides welfare information, and offers appropriate support.

A Suwon City official stated, "We will conduct full surveys of households delinquent in management fees and rents every year to identify citizens facing housing crises," adding, "We will provide practical and systematic social welfare services to help them live stably."
