POSCO E&C announced on the 13th that it is conducting the "6th Marine Environment Conservation Short-form Video and Poster Contest" in collaboration with the Korea Coast Guard, Korea Electric Power Corporation, and World Vision. The contest runs until the 30th of this month.
This contest was organized to raise awareness and foster a culture of empathy for marine environment conservation. In both the short-form video and poster categories, participants can submit works on themes such as marine environment conservation, blue carbon protection, and creating clean oceans. Anyone in the public can participate individually or as a team. Notably, this year, the public can vote on submissions directly through the online platform (contest website).
A total of 27 works will be selected through judging. The grand prize (1 winner, awarded by the Korea Coast Guard Commissioner) will receive 2 million KRW, and excellence awards (6 winners, awarded by each participating organization head) will receive 1 million KRW each. The winning works will be used in future promotional and educational materials and events by the Korea Coast Guard.
Jeon Jung-sun, President of POSCO E&C, said, "I hope this serves as an opportunity for everyone to rethink the essential practice of marine environment conservation for a sustainable future and to find small, consistent actions that can be taken in daily life that everyone can relate to."
