This program, now in its fourth year, has provided a total of 600 million KRW to 19 startup companies over the past three years since 2020. This year, KHNP plans to support the establishment of six youth startups with 250 million KRW. The goal is to provide opportunities for young people struggling with entrepreneurship and, at the same time, revitalize the local economy.

KHNP's startup support funds are used not only for facility and operating expenses such as remodeling and equipment purchases to establish an initial business foundation, but also for promotion, consulting, and follow-up management to ensure continuous growth and stable business operations. In addition, business briefings and startup support academies will be held for prospective entrepreneurs to maximize the effectiveness of the support. To ensure transparency, a rigorous three-stage screening process will also be conducted.

Youth interested in participating in the project can refer to the Gyeongju Youth Center website.

Hwang Jooho, CEO of KHNP, stated, "We hope that the Gyeongju City Startup Zone Project will contribute to revitalizing the local economy and creating jobs for young people by boosting the commercial district of the old downtown area. KHNP will continue to strive for mutual growth and cooperation with the local community."
