A story has emerged about a man who fled without paying after engaging in prostitution, angering the woman working at the prostitution establishment. On the 9th, KNN News reported that a woman, Ms. A, working at a prostitution venue, was recently a victim of a 'meoktwi' (eating and running) by a man.
The released CCTV footage clearly shows the man fleeing without paying after the prostitution. The man quickly turned a corner inside the building and hurriedly got on the elevator.
Ms. A said, "The manager said she would cover the cost out of her own pocket, but I don't need that; I will call the police and self-destruct," expressing her anger. She added, "Not paying after prostitution is a fraudulent act and can also be considered attempted rape." She emphasized, "Although prostitution is punishable, it is taken into consideration."
According to Ms. A, when the establishment contacted the man to collect the payment, he threatened, "I will self-report the prostitution to the police." In response, the establishment countered, "We will also confess to prostitution, so you should be punished for habitual prostitution fraud."
Then the man changed his attitude, saying, "I am in a position where I cannot come back. I am very sorry," and added, "Since this is tiring for both sides, please tell them I sent the money and apologize."
Hearing this, Ms. A said, "I got angry when I heard 'tiring for both sides.' Isn't this a clear case of perpetrator and victim? When he did the meoktwi, he must have thought, 'You also did prostitution, right? You can't report me,' and that's why he did this." She added, "If we let people like this go, they will do it again, so I will file a criminal complaint and then claim damages civilly, and I will also inform the man's parents and company."
Netizens responded to the story with various comments such as "Informing the company is the best response," "Birds of a feather, no words to say," "You can't let them get away with not paying," "Saying unpaid means rape is a bit much," and "Trying to save money but ruining your life."
