A Total of 16 Families and 51 Residents from Gyeongnam Participate Twice
Enjoying Various Healing Programs Over Two Days and One Night
The Daebong Healing Center at the Environmental Disease Prevention and Management Center in Hamyang-gun, Gyeongsangnam-do operated the Daebong Forest Health Healing Camp, a 2-day, 1-night program, in two sessions on July 26-27 and August 9-10.
The Health Healing Camp is a family program for children and parents in Gyeongsangnam-do during the school vacation. In addition to environmental education on carbon neutrality, the program offers healthy meals, accommodation experiences in loess and cypress rooms, and various healing and harmony activities for families.
For this program, 16 families (a total of 51 participants) from Gyeongsangnam-do with children aged 4 to elementary school, who were interested in environmental diseases, were selected on a first-come, first-served basis and participated in the camp.
On the first day of the program, activities included education on the climate crisis and carbon neutrality, T-shirt and succulent plant pot decorating, a magic show, and harmony recreation. On the second day, participants enjoyed forest healing, forest experience activities, and making family albums. Healthy meal experiences were provided throughout both days.
An official from the county stated, "The majority of families who participated in the 2-day, 1-night Daebong Forest Health Healing Camp reported high satisfaction, saying they had a meaningful time healing and bonding as a family. We feel rewarded to have contributed to helping families spend quality time together through such a good program."
