A story has emerged about a man who dreamed of a tiger sitting next to his ancestors, bought a lottery ticket, and won first prize.
On the 13th, the Donghaeng Lottery website released an interview with Mr. A, the first prize winner of the 84th round of Spitto1000. Spitto1000 is an instant lottery where you win a prize if the number on your ticket matches the lucky number, and the first prize is 500 million won.
Mr. A, who purchased the lottery ticket in Gimhae-si, Gyeongnam, said he bought the ticket after having an unusual dream. He said, "Recently, I dreamed of my ancestors," adding, "They were sitting in front of me, and a tiger was sitting next to me. I was startled, but one of my ancestors said, 'That tiger will not bite you, so don't worry.'" He continued, "The tiger kept licking my hand," and "I petted the tiger and then woke up."
Mr. A said, "Around lunchtime, I thought quietly and felt it was such a good dream, so I told my wife I was going out for a moment and headed to the lottery store." At the lottery store, he bought 20,000 won worth of Lotto tickets and 10,000 won worth of Spitto1000 tickets, and immediately confirmed that all the Spitto1000 tickets were 'not winning.' After buying another 10,000 won worth of Spitto1000 tickets, Mr. A said, "I won 5,000 won on one ticket and 1,000 won on two tickets, which I exchanged for seven tickets, and among them, one ticket won the first prize of 500 million won."
He said, "I couldn't believe it, so I asked the lottery store owner to confirm if it was really the first prize," adding, "I immediately went home to tell my wife about the first prize, and she was so surprised she couldn't believe it, and we were both very happy."
Mr. A stated that he would use all the winnings to repay his loans. Lastly, in his 'winner's comment,' he wrote, "I am happy. And thank you."
