Nowon-gu, Seoul (Mayor Oh Seung-rok) announced that it has completed the renovation of the 'Bulgamsan Deobureo Forest' program, where visitors can enjoy adventures in nature, and will resume operations.

As of 2024, the youth population in Nowon-gu is approximately 77,000, accounting for 15.38% of the total residents. This ratio is higher than the average in Seoul, and the district operates facilities such as the Nowon Mathematics Culture Center and Nowon Astronomy and Space Science Center to provide various experiential learning opportunities for youth.

Among these, the 'Bulgamsan Deobureo Forest,' which has been reopened with a focus on experiential programs, is a cooperative adventure experience space that can be enjoyed by everyone from children to adults. In particular, it has been planned as a youth-tailored program to increase the interest of young people and allow various youths to enjoy the experiential programs.

First, the 'Survival' program, which had the highest satisfaction among the 'Deobureo Forest' programs, was revised by reflecting the opinions of experts and youth. Instead of the dangerous survival games using paintball or BB pellets, participants wear laser-equipped guns and vests with built-in sensors. It can be experienced safely without the risk of injury even without wearing additional safety equipment. Also, customized game design is possible considering user characteristics, so anyone can enjoy it happily.

Next, the Forest Adventure is a wooden obstacle course installed in the air. The existing single course was renewed to be accessible to users with a height of 120 cm or more, expanding the age range of users. In 2025, a 'Sky Net' where participants jump in the air using a sturdy net will be created. The 'Sky Net,' an adventure facility that develops balance and physical strength, will be designed so that youths under 140 cm in height can also participate.

Additionally, visitors can experience Seoul's only zipline, a natural, non-powered gliding activity that thrillingly crosses the sky ▲ Flying Fox, a dark maze course using all five senses ▲ Tunnel Maze ▲ Flying Disc (frisbee throwing) ▲ Cornhole game (bean bag tossing), and more.

The experience center is open to anyone from elementary school students and older. Currently, reservations are only available for groups and can be made by phone. Individual reservations and a reservation page will be opened after reflecting the feedback from group users.

Oh Seung-rok, Mayor of Nowon-gu, said, "We hope the newly renovated 'Bulgamsan Deobureo Forest' will become a new source of vitality for local residents and youth," adding, "Especially, I hope young people can enjoy themselves in nature, escaping the stress of urban life and daily routines."
