Jungnang-gu Water Play Festival Successfully Underway... Water Bomb & Water Gun Festival Held at Bongsudae Park from 10th to 11th Concludes... Yongma Waterfall Park Water Play Area Open Until 15th, Jungnang Water Park and Sinnae Park Open Until 18th
Jungnang-gu (Mayor Ryu Kyung-gi) successfully concluded the 'Waterbomb & Water Gun Festival' held at Bongsudae Park from the 10th to the 11th.
'Jungnang Water Play Festival' was organized to provide residents with an urban summer retreat, and this year it was held at Bongsudae Park and Yongma Waterfall Park respectively.
Yongma Waterfall Park was centered around the water play area, while Bongsudae Park focused on the water festival, designed to allow residents across the district to enjoy a refreshing summer.
The 'Waterbomb & Water Gun Festival' at Bongsudae Park, introduced for the first time this year, expanded from a children-centered event to a program that people of all ages could enjoy together, receiving great response. Various programs such as club DJing, K-POP cover dance, and water gun battles were held, and especially for families with children, small-scale children's water play areas, rest zones, changing rooms, and food trucks were provided to enhance visitor convenience.
About 970 people visited the children's water play area installed and operated at Bongsudae Park over the two days last weekend, and 860 attended the festival, confirming the high interest of residents. One resident who participated in the event expressed satisfaction, saying, "It was much more fun than water parks where I paid expensive admission fees, and I was able to happily return to my childhood with my children."
Ryu Kyung-gi, Mayor of Jungnang-gu, said, "Although the weather was hot, the laughter of residents enjoying the water play gave me strength and joy," and added, "We will continue to strive to operate various programs that allow people to spend the hot summer coolly."
The water play festival at Yongma Waterfall Park will continue until August 15, and the Jungnang Water Park and Sinnae Park water play areas will operate until August 18.
