According to Sancheong-gun on the 12th, this project, which is part of a public contest by the National Heritage Administration, is recognized as a meaningful initiative that reinterprets local figures and history into creative works, generating enthusiastic participation.

The program begins at the Sancheong Mokmyeon Shibae Yuji, where participants learn about the introduction and successful cultivation of cotton, followed by a tour of the exhibition hall. Afterwards, they visit Docheon Seowon and pay respects at the tomb of Mun Ikjeom.
In particular, game-based programs such as 'Cotton Golden Bell' and 'Mun Ikjeom Saengsaeng Road' have become popular. With engaging historical explanations by professional hosts and fun games, the program not only achieves high satisfaction among participants but is also gaining popularity through word of mouth, leading to a surge in inquiries.
Last month, all second-year students from Danseong Middle School and members of the Sancheong-gun youth counseling volunteer group 'Cheongbori' participated together, creating a lively scene with about 70 people enjoying the games. This project will continue to be held on the third Saturday of each month until October.
Kwon Soonhyeok, head of the Culture and Sports Department, said, "This project will provide an opportunity to learn about Sancheong's county flower, cotton, and Mun Ikjeom, who brought about a revolution in Korean clothing, in a more engaging way," adding, "I hope everyone will have a meaningful time rediscovering the historical value of Sancheong."
