She led YouTube from 2014 until last year and is credited with growing YouTube into the world's largest video platform. She was one of the most prominent women in Silicon Valley and regarded as a pioneer for women in the U.S. IT industry.

As an early member of Google, she is famous for recognizing the potential of Google's co-founders Larry Page and Sergey Brin in 1998 and lending her home garage to them.

Wojcicki created the digital advertising system at Google, establishing its revenue base, and played a decisive role in the acquisition of YouTube in 2006. She then served as YouTube CEO from 2014, growing YouTube into a global platform and is credited with ushering in YouTube's golden era. She left the company last year to focus more on her health and family.

Sundar Pichai, CEO of Google and Alphabet, expressed his condolences on his X (formerly Twitter), saying, "My dear friend Susan Wojcicki has passed away after a two-year battle with cancer," and added, "Wojcicki was one of the most important figures in Google's history, and it is hard to imagine a world without her."

Tim Cook, CEO of Apple, said, "I am deeply saddened by the news of Susan Wojcicki's passing. She was one of the pioneers of Silicon Valley, and many will miss her."

Marc Benioff, CEO of Salesforce, posted a photo with Wojcicki on X, stating, "Susan was an industry pioneer, an exemplary mother, and a dear friend. Susan's legacy of leadership and love will inspire us forever. May the peace she brought be with everyone."
