Research Alom predicted on the 12th that Hisonic will grow as it pursues a new secondary battery business.

Researcher Choi Seonghwan of Research Alom explained, "To normalize management, the actuator business was discontinued earlier this year," adding, "While focusing on the infrared cut-off filter (IRCF) business, a new secondary battery business was added."

He continued, "The secondary battery division produces safety-maximizing components essential for prismatic and cylindrical batteries," and added, "It has been registered as a vendor for the global secondary battery company AESC."

Researcher Choi analyzed, "It possesses large can deep drawing mold technology, a core technology for cell enlargement to reduce costs, enabling the realization of maximum height," and said, "It can handle both the can, which serves as the battery container, and the cap assembly, which serves as the cover." He emphasized, "AESC recognized Hisonic's technological capabilities and selected it as a vendor in 2023," adding, "They plan to apply the CAN & CAP welding equipment jointly developed with Samsung SDI to processes at Shinheung SEC, Sangsin EDP, and Sanga Front Tech."
