All Members of the Party for National Innovation Attend
Including Representatives Woo Won-sik, Park Chan-dae, and Go Min-jung
On the 11th at 11 a.m., Jo Min, the daughter of Jo Guk, leader of the Jo Guk Innovation Party, got married at Myeongdong Cathedral in Seoul.
On the 11th, News1 reported, citing a Jo Guk Innovation Party official, that Jo Min held her wedding ceremony at Myeongdong Cathedral at 11 a.m. that day. Initially, Jo’s side announced the marriage in June without revealing a specific date, only stating it would be in the second half of the year. Although the exact schedule of the wedding was not disclosed externally, it was reported that all members of the Jo Guk Innovation Party, along with major opposition figures, attended the ceremony in large numbers.

Speaker of the National Assembly Woo Won-sik and Park Chan-dae, acting leader and floor leader of the Democratic Party, attended the wedding, along with lawmakers Ko Min-jung, Yoon Gun-young, Han Byung-do, and former lawmaker Yoon Young-chan. Kim Dong-yeon, Governor of Gyeonggi Province and the first Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs under the Moon Jae-in administration, and former Minister of Justice Park Sang-ki also attended. Academic figures such as Sung Nak-in, former president of Seoul National University and an acquaintance of Jo from his time as a law professor at Seoul National University, were present as well. Additionally, former Prime Ministers Lee Soo-sung and Kim Boo-kyum, writer Yoo Si-min, and YouTuber Kim Eo-jun attended the wedding. Former party leader Lee Jae-myung was absent due to a joint speech event for Democratic Party leader and Supreme Council member candidates in the Daejeon and Sejong regions scheduled for that afternoon.
Earlier, Jo showed extreme caution about the specific date of his daughter’s wedding becoming public. On June 18, Jo appeared on the YouTube channel 'Kim Eo-jun’s Humility is Difficult News Factory,' and when host Kim Eo-jun congratulated him on his daughter’s marriage, Jo said, "I would prefer not to disclose the date. Strange people might engage in strange behavior," adding, "I am just grateful as a father that my eldest daughter and her fianc? are getting married quietly."
According to Myeongdong Cathedral’s policy, no flower wreaths were accepted at the wedding. A party official from the Innovation Party told News1, "Since the specific wedding date was not disclosed to prevent any unfortunate incidents, the event concluded without any particular issues."
Meanwhile, Jo Min announced via her YouTube channel in January that she had become engaged to a same-age ordinary boyfriend she had dated for eight months since May of last year, and that the wedding was planned for the second half of this year. Since then, she has shared her wedding preparations, including luxury couple rings, wedding dress fittings, and securing a rental home, through her YouTube channel.
After the wedding, Jo Min posted on her Instagram, "Today I held my wedding ceremony and truly became a married woman. I sincerely thank everyone who took the time to attend despite the summer vacation season, and all those who congratulated me even if they could not attend. We will cherish and care for each other and live happily."
