On the 9th at 7 PM, Oh Seung-rok, Mayor of Nowon District, attended the '2024 1st Nowon Youth Forum' held in the main auditorium on the 2nd floor of Nowon District Office in Seoul.
The Nowon Youth Forum is a public discussion platform designed to activate youth participation and discover youth-tailored policies, allowing the youth, who are the demanders, to directly propose and discuss policy ideas.
The first forum, selected through a preliminary survey conducted in June, was themed "Enjoyable Nowon Together" and consisted of various programs including ▲a lecture by related experts ▲free discussion ▲and a preference vote by youth on policy ideas.
Oh Seung-rok, Mayor of Nowon District, said, "Through this forum, we expect to discover policy ideas that reflect the stories of the youth themselves and to expand youth participation in district administration," adding, "I hope this will be a meaningful occasion where the voices of young people are reflected in practical policies."
Meanwhile, the 2024 2nd Nowon Youth Forum will be held on August 30th at 7 PM in the main auditorium on the 2nd floor of Nowon District Office under the theme "Nowon Where Dreams Can Grow."
Any youth aged 19 to 39 residing or active in Nowon District can participate. The application deadline is August 22nd, and detailed information on how to apply can be found on the Nowon District Office website or by accessing the QR code on the poster.
