Department of Dental Hygiene at Silla University Achieves Top National Honors in Dental Insurance Claims Specialist Certification Exam

Moon Subin, Department of Dental Hygiene Student, Only Top Graduate in Busan

The Department of Dental Hygiene at Silla University (President: Heo Namsik) announced on the 9th that one of its students achieved the highest score nationwide in the 74th Dental Insurance Claim Specialist Level 3 Exam.

The Dental Insurance Claim Specialist certification exam, organized by the Korean Dental Health Insurance Association, is a qualification that covers the overall management of dental clinics, including claims for dental treatment fees, analysis and review of result notifications, adjustment and follow-up management in case of payment issues. It is a highly useful certification for dental hygienists.

In the 74th Dental Insurance Claim Specialist Exam held on June 23, Silla University Dental Hygiene student Moon Subin achieved the honor of being the top scorer nationwide with 98 out of 100 points. Out of 1,770 examinees nationwide, five top scorers were selected among the 1,299 who passed, with Moon Subin being the only one from Busan.

Moon Subin, the top scorer, shared, "While learning about dental insurance claims for about three months, I felt that this would be very helpful for my career as a dental hygienist after employment. I am very happy that my enjoyable studies led to such a great result. I would like to thank my professors for their excellent teaching and guidance."

Kim Yurin, head of the Department of Dental Hygiene at Silla University, expressed gratitude, saying, "I am thankful to Moon Subin, who brought the great honor of being the top scorer nationwide through our department's curriculum alone," and added, "We will continue to systematically operate various qualification programs that can be directly linked to clinical practice through our university's excellent curriculum."
