Special Lecture on Constellations: Astronomy Observation Event Held for Aspiring Astronomers with Astrophotography
Changwon Science Experience Center in Changwon Special City, Gyeongnam, announced on the 9th that it has organized a special stargazing event titled 'Summer Star Exploration: Toward the Dream of Becoming an Astronomer' for local children and teenagers during the summer vacation period.
This event, to be held at the Changwon Science Experience Center Planetarium over two days from the 16th to the 17th, will begin with a special lecture on careers in astronomy, followed by sessions on summer constellations, how to take astrophotography using smartphone applications, and more.
Participants will also have the opportunity to discover their own and their family's birth constellations, and unleash their imagination and creativity by making their own constellation mood lights.
In addition, participants will learn how to use telescopes on the outdoor terrace to observe major summer constellations such as Altair and Vega, as well as the moon, and use smartphone apps to identify constellations and take astrophotos together with their families.
This stargazing event will be available by advance reservation for families, and reservations will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis through the Changwon Science Experience Center website starting on the 13th.
