Dongdaemun-gu Partners with IT Education Company to Provide Coding Education for Vulnerable Groups

Supporting Dream Start children's Entry certification acquisition and autonomous vehicle coding education

Dongdaemun-gu (Mayor Ilpyeong Lee) is launching support for IT (coding) education to nurture future education talents for Dream Start children.

On the 7th, Dongdaemun-gu signed a 'Business Agreement for IT Coding Future Education Talent Development' with Itple Co., Ltd. (CEO Jisuk Jung). Itple, located in Dongdaemun-gu, is an IT education company that cultivates global talents.

'Dream Start' is a project that provides customized integrated services to children from vulnerable groups to promote their healthy growth and development and ensure equal starting opportunities.

Through this business agreement, both organizations will cooperate to nurture IT field talents and advance IT education for Dream Start children. Itple Co., Ltd. has agreed to sponsor 50% of the tuition fees for Dream Start children.

The selected children will receive education at Itple from August this year to January next year.

The main educational content includes obtaining the Entry Level 4 certificate and autonomous vehicle coding education. Children will acquire the Entry certificate, which proves software utilization skills, and learn block coding and AI technology through autonomous vehicle coding education.

Ilpyeong Lee, Mayor of Dongdaemun-gu, stated, “I hope this education program will give Dream Start children the courage to challenge new things and foster interest in the IT field,” adding, “We will strive harder to improve the educational environment for children from low-income families.”
