Gangdong-gu Publishes 'Living Guide' to Help New Residents Adapt

Seoul Gangdong-gu (District Mayor Lee Su-hee) announced on the 9th that it has published the "Gangdong Living Guide," which contains useful lifestyle information for new residents.

Gangdong-gu has many incoming households due to large-scale maintenance projects and the move-in of reconstruction and redevelopment complexes. To help new residents adapt well, the guide carefully selects and includes essential information for daily life.

The guide is produced in booklet form and contains a total of 148 pieces of lifestyle information across five categories: civil complaints, welfare & health, culture, education & environment, safety & transportation, and jobs & economy. Detailed explanations are provided for each item, including eligibility, support details, application methods, and contact information.

The Gangdong Living Guide is available to anyone who visits the local community service center and is also published as an e-book, which can be accessed on the district’s website (Gangdong Introduction > District Promotion > Electronic Publications).

Yoon Hee-eun, head of the Planning and Budget Division of Gangdong-gu, stated, “We have carefully selected valuable information to help residents starting a new life in an unfamiliar environment,” and added, “We will continue to strive to prepare empathetic policies that residents can feel in their daily lives.”
