The women's golf team representing Korea at the 2024 Paris Olympics failed to bounce back in the second round.

The eldest sister, Yang Hee-young (Kiwoom Securities), managed to reduce her score by only one stroke in the women's second round held on the 8th (local time) at Le Golf National in Guyancourt near Paris, France. With a total score of 1-under-par 143, she was tied for 14th place along with Lilia Vu (USA) and Aditi Ashok (India). Although she dropped one spot from the first round, she was the only Korean player to record an under-par score. The flow of the game was similar to the first round. She made four birdies but recorded a bogey on the 1st hole (par 4) and a double bogey on the 12th hole (par 4).


Co-competitors Ko Jin-young (Solaire) and Kim Hyo-joo (Lotte) both stood tied for 26th place with a total score of 2-over-par 146. Ko Jin-young lost one stroke, while Kim Hyo-joo reduced her score by two strokes.


Morgan Metraux (Switzerland) reduced her score by six strokes in the second round alone. She made an eagle on the 3rd hole (par 5) and the 9th hole (par 5), delivering a powerful performance. With a total score of 8-under-par 136, she took the solo lead.


Ruo Ning (China) was in second place with 7-under-par 137, and Lydia Ko (New Zealand) was in third with 5-under-par 139. Celine Boutier (France), who enjoyed a home advantage with 7-under-par in the first round, struggled with 4-over-par on this day. She dropped to a tie for 6th place with a total score of 3-under-par.
