Aiming to Discover Innovative Tasks and Successfully Implement Special Zone Plans
Gyeongbuk Province and Gyeongbuk Technopark held the first meeting of the 'Task Planning TF' for the planning of the Regulatory Free Zone and Global Innovation Zone on the 7th.
Gyeongbuk Province and Gyeongbuk Technopark held the first meeting of the "Task Planning TF" on the 7th to plan the Regulatory Free Zone and Global Innovation Zone.
The Regulatory Free Zone is a system that allows local governments outside the Seoul metropolitan area to freely conduct demonstrations in designated zones by suspending regulations that hinder the development of new technologies.
At the first meeting held alongside the launch of the 'Task Planning TF', discussions were held on the direction of zone projects and the standards for regulatory improvement.
In particular, the focus was on expanding the participation of local innovation entities within the zone and developing strategies for the advancement of regional innovation growth projects.
Going forward, the 'Task Planning TF' will continue to bring together local governments, related organizations, and companies to discuss and develop applications for zone designation, aiming for the successful implementation of the zones and the discovery of innovative projects.
Gyeongbuk has been designated as a Regulatory Free Zone in a total of five areas: starting with Pohang Battery Recycling, followed by Andong Industrial Hemp, Gimcheon Smart Green Logistics, Gyeongsan Wireless Electric Vehicle Charging, and Uiseong Cell-Cultured Food.
Gyeongbuk Province will closely review the potential for success, including performance outcomes and company attraction during the zone period, to determine the application fields and regions, and will challenge the '10th Regulatory Free Zone' and the 'Global Innovation Zone.'
Hainseong, President of Gyeongbuk Technopark, said, "Building on our five successful experiences with zone designation, we will further advance our zone plans by gathering expert opinions from various fields, including the Task Planning TF."
