Kostexis, a specialized company in low thermal expansion and high thermal conductivity material components, announced on the 8th that it has achieved remarkable results in the first half of this year, marking a full-scale turnaround in its performance. Sales reached 7.5 billion KRW, a 61% increase compared to the same period last year. Operating profit was 290 million KRW, and net profit for the period was 330 million KRW, successfully turning to a profit.
The company's performance improvement is largely attributed to the recovery of orders for communication-related RF packages from its main client, NXP. The company is focusing on power semiconductor spacers and is actively pursuing orders after passing mass production quality tests from global major customers.
A Kostexis representative stated, “We are currently conducting close mass production quality tests with several customers and expanding our customer base, so we are very much looking forward to 2025 when spacers will enter full-scale mass production.” He added, “Based on this performance improvement and technology development, we are laying the foundation for sustainable growth and will actively pursue investment and strategic business expansion for greater leaps forward in the future.”
Along with this, Kostexis continues technological innovation in the power semiconductor field. Following the recent success in developing power semiconductor spacers, the company has started developing ultra-small vertical-structure shunt resistors that sense current. Shunt resistors are expected to enable precise current measurement, further enhancing the performance of power semiconductors.
