Dongkuk Steel designated the 8th as 'DK Ice Day' and sent five food trucks to three business sites in Incheon, Dangjin, and Pohang. They provided five types of cold beverages, including coffee, ade, and tea, to about 2,000 field workers, including those from partner companies, and held a 'Lucky Roulette' prize event.
Dongkuk CM expanded 'DK Ice Day' to 'DK Ice Week' and offered unlimited ice cream at the Busan plant for five days from the 5th to the 9th. Refrigerators were placed in high-traffic areas such as the welfare center and production center entrances, providing 24-hour access. During this period, Dongkuk CM shared ice cream with all visitors to the Busan plant.
Dongkuk Steel Group operates rest areas such as temporary shade shelters to ensure safe working conditions during the peak summer heat. To prevent dehydration, they provide bottled water, special meals, and glucose, and distribute cooling equipment such as insulated containers to maintain proper body temperature, focusing on safety and health management.
