Namsan IC Ramp Section (Changwon to Dong-eup)
Jinyeong-bound Road Resurfacing Work
Changwon Special City in Gyeongnam announced on the 8th that the private operator of the Jige-Namsan connecting road will block vehicle traffic twice: from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m. on the 10th, and from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. on the 17th, in order to carry out road resurfacing work on the Namsan IC ramp section (Dong-eup and Jin-yeong directions) at 748-5 Deoksan-ri, Dong-eup, Uichang-gu, Changwon.
The affected ramp section of Namsan IC is a single lane, and a complete closure of the road is unavoidable for the resurfacing work. Due to the full closure, vehicles traveling to Dong-eup and Jin-yeong via National Route 25 must enter the Buk-myeon direction at Namsan IC, make a U-turn at Yongjeon Intersection before passing through the Jige-Namsan connecting road (private road) tollgate, and detour to National Route 14 towards Dong-eup (Jin-yeong).
As heavy traffic is expected on this ramp section, Changwon City plans to minimize inconvenience for road users by promoting the closure through Korea Traffic Broadcasting, road electronic display boards, and banners. On the day of the construction, exemplary drivers, signalmen, guide vehicles, and construction personnel will be deployed to ensure smooth traffic flow and on-site safety management.
Lee Jongdeok, Director of the Transportation and Construction Bureau, said, "The resurfacing work is being carried out to provide a safe road environment, and due to the road structure, traffic control during construction is unavoidable. We ask for your cooperation in driving slowly and using detour routes during the construction period."
