Ulsan Metropolitan Office of Education (Superintendent Cheon Changsu) held the "Summer Vacation Climate Leadership Camp" for 75 middle and high school students from the Ulsan area at the Ulsan Climate Crisis Response Education Center in Ulju-gun from the 6th to the 8th, in celebration of the summer vacation.
Under the theme "The Lives of Birds Changed by Climate Change," 25 middle school students participated on the 6th, and 25 high school students each attended on the 7th and 8th, over the course of three days.
This event was organized to broaden youth consensus on responding to the climate crisis and to strengthen their practical climate action skills. Various programs were offered, including special lectures on climate change, making low-carbon yubu gimbap, and birdwatching activities at Ganjeolgot.
The Ulsan Office of Education provided free bus transportation for participating students for their convenience.
An official from the Ulsan Office of Education stated, "We hope that students will strengthen their commitment to climate action and take a leading role as leaders of the next generation."
