The Three Major Telecoms Raise Official Subsidies for Galaxy Z Fold6 and Flip6 Up to 500,000 KRW Range

On the 8th, the three mobile carriers simultaneously raised the official subsidies for the Galaxy Z Fold6 and Flip6 to a maximum of around 500,000 KRW. Considering that the initial official subsidies were in the low 200,000 KRW range depending on the plan, this is more than double the previous amount.

SK Telecom increased the official subsidies for the two models to a maximum of 530,000 KRW each. Subscribers to the 5GX Platinum plan (125,000 KRW per month) can receive the highest subsidy of 520,000 KRW. The subsidy for 5GX Prime Plus (99,000 KRW per month) subscribers is 500,000 KRW, and for 5GX Prime (89,000 KRW per month) it is 480,000 KRW.

SKT is offering a 50,000 KRW Naver Pay Point to the first 1,000 customers who purchase the Z Fold6 or Flip6. Selected customers will receive the Naver Pay Points via a separate text message on the 6th of next month.

KT announced that it has expanded the official subsidies for the two devices up to 500,000 KRW and is running a promotion on its official online mall, KT.com. If you purchase the Z Fold6 256GB model, priced at 2,229,700 KRW, with a 90,000 KRW monthly plan (Tving/Genie/Milli Choice Basic) on KT.com, you can buy it with an installment principal of 1,654,700 KRW.

LG Uplus also raised the official subsidies for the Z Fold6 and Flip6. Previously, users could receive up to 230,000 KRW in subsidies depending on their plan, but from this day forward, the 5G Premier Essential plan (85,000 KRW per month) offers a maximum official subsidy of 500,000 KRW.

LG Uplus increased the official subsidy for the 5G Standard plan (75,000 KRW per month) to 442,000 KRW, up by 309,000 KRW, and for the 5G Light+ plan (55,000 KRW per month) to 326,000 KRW, up by 228,000 KRW.

Additionally, customers who purchase the Z Fold6 or Flip6 and return their old phone by the 31st can receive up to 1,120,000 KRW in compensation through the ‘Galaxy Trade-in’ program. Customers who purchase the latest Galaxy product on Uplus.com and return their old phone can receive an additional 100,000 KRW, for a maximum compensation of up to 1,220,000 KRW.
