K-Culture Grand Festival Unfolding for 3 Weeks in Vietnam
Featuring 3 Themes: K-Food, K-Sports, and K-Movie
CJ Group announced on the 8th that it will hold a large-scale festival called 'CJ K FESTA,' where Korean culture can be experienced all in one place, in Vietnam for three weeks from the 10th of this month to the 1st of next month.
The CJ K FESTA, held for the first time this year, will involve CJ affiliates operating in Vietnam. It is a festival prepared to fully enjoy K-culture, and CJ plans to establish the image of being the 'representative brand of K-culture' through regular annual events.
This festival is composed of three themes: 'K Food Week (August 10?16),' 'K Sports Week (August 17?23),' and 'K Movie Week (August 24?September 1).' Over the course of three weeks, CJ will promote its brand and offer various events and discount promotions so that Vietnamese citizens can experience diverse K-culture.
During K Food Week, cooking shows using 'Bibigo' products and products from 'Cautre,' a local frozen food company in Vietnam and a subsidiary of CJ CheilJedang, will be held at four large supermarkets in Ho Chi Minh City, including Emart and Copmart. The cooking shows will showcase the cooking process and introduce the taste of Korean cuisine to local Vietnamese people. Additionally, a food truck event will tour 10 popular spots in Ho Chi Minh City, including traditional markets, large parks, and lakeside parks.
During K Sports Week, the '2024 CJ National Youth Taekwondo Championship' will be held at the Thien Giang Multi-Sports Center. Approximately 1,000 athletes from 47 provinces in Vietnam are expected to participate, and the entire event will be broadcast live through Vietnam's OTT service 'FPT Play.' This tournament is the only national taekwondo competition in Vietnam sponsored by an overseas corporate title.
In the final week of the event, K Movie Week, there will be an event where popular Korean and Vietnamese films can be watched for free. This free screening event will take place at CGV theaters in Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi, and attendees will also be provided with Bibigo and Tous Les Jours products.
A CJ Group official stated, "We will make CJ K FESTA the most beloved representative K-culture festival in Vietnam," adding, "Especially since this is the first year, we plan to increase awareness of CJ K FESTA and strengthen communication by conducting various events together with social media (SNS) influencers in Vietnam."
