Daejeon World Cup Stadium Parking Lot to Charge Fees Starting on the 9th

Daily Limit Set at 10,000 Won... Free Admission for Pro Soccer Spectators and Users of Children's Center and Swimming Pool

Daejeon World Cup Stadium Parking Lot to Charge Fees Starting on the 9th Daejeon City Hall

Daejeon City announced that starting from the 9th, the parking lot at the World Cup Stadium will be operated as a paid facility.

The World Cup Stadium parking lot, located at a key transportation hub, has so far been used more as a space for citizens' leisure activities such as golf, travel, and hiking, rather than as a parking lot for sports facilities.

Especially on weekends and holidays, even citizens from neighboring local governments would park for extended periods, causing not only congestion due to overcrowding but also making it difficult for users of facilities such as the Children's Center and swimming pool to find parking.

To improve convenience for visitors and reduce congestion, the city will set a daily maximum parking fee of 10,000 won from the 9th. On professional soccer match days, the parking lot will operate as a paid facility for 24 hours without a maximum fee limit, in order to increase parking turnover and ensure convenience for spectators.

Users of the Children's Center, swimming pool, and professional soccer spectators will be provided with five hours of free parking.

A Daejeon City official said, "Facility users have long experienced difficulties parking at the World Cup Stadium, but this paid system will resolve many of those issues."
