President Yoon Suk-yeol sent congratulatory flower arrangements to key newly appointed officials of the People Power Party.
According to the presidential office on the 7th, President Yoon sent congratulatory flowers to six people the day before through Kim Myung-yeon, Secretary for Political Affairs 1: Kim Sang-hoon, Chairman of the Policy Committee; Kim Jong-hyuk, appointed Supreme Council member; Kwak Kyu-taek and Han Ji-ah, chief spokespersons; Shin Ji-ho, Vice President of Strategic Planning; and Jeong Seong-guk, Vice President of Organization.
President Yoon sent congratulatory flowers and a message to Representative Han Dong-hoon on the 24th of last month through Hong Cheol-ho, Senior Secretary for Political Affairs at the presidential office.
The president usually sends flowers only to four key figures of the ruling party: the new party leader, floor leader, secretary-general, and chairman of the policy committee, but this time he expanded the recipients. Sending flowers to other appointed party officials is interpreted as an effort to further strengthen party-government unity.
Earlier, shortly after the People Power Party’s leadership election on the 24th of last month, President Yoon invited Representative Han and the new leadership to the presidential office for a dinner. Additionally, on the 31st of last month, he held a private meeting with Representative Han at the presidential office for one hour and thirty minutes.
