POSCO Future M's Yoo Byung-ok Serves Drinks to Pohang Plant Employees Amid 33-Degree Heatwave

Fatigue Recovery and Vitamin Sets Provided Twice Weekly During Heatwave
Thorough Prevention of Heat-Related Illnesses with Saline Glucose and Ice Vests

Yu Byeong-ok, CEO of POSCO Future M, personally served refreshing snacks to employees working hard on-site while battling the heat.

POSCO Future M announced that on the 7th, Yu and other executives visited the artificial graphite anode material factory in the Pohang Blue Valley Industrial Complex, handing out drinks to employees one by one and urging them to take care of their health in the heat. The Pohang site recorded a maximum daytime temperature of 33 degrees Celsius that day.

Employees chased away the heat by receiving gifts prepared by the company, such as travel vouchers and ice cream coupons, along with refreshing coffee.

Jeon In-wook, a member of the Anode Material Production Technology Group, said, "Thanks to the cool snacks and prize event, I was able to forget the heat," adding, "It gives me more strength when the management visits the site to encourage us."

POSCO Future M plans to encourage employees and suppliers by having management visit nationwide sites in Pohang, Gwangyang, Sejong, Seoul, and Gumi sequentially or by providing snacks such as ice cream and beverages until the 21st, in response to this heat wave.

Additionally, POSCO Future M provides fatigue recovery supplements and vitamin sets twice a week to production, maintenance, and quality staff. At work sites where heavy sweating occurs, they supply saline glucose and drinks, and at some sites exposed to high temperatures, they equip cooling devices such as ice vests and ice necks to thoroughly prevent heat-related illnesses.
