University Hub Branches Designated as 'Consultation Counters for International Students'
Support Languages Expanded to Seven with Addition of Uzbek, Nepali, and Bengali
BNK Busan Bank (President Bang Seongbin) announced on the 7th that it has expanded its foreign financial services on its next-generation digital channel, Digital Desk, to enhance convenience and accessibility for foreign customers.
With this service expansion, the number of supported languages on Digital Desk has increased from the previous four (English, Chinese, Japanese, Vietnamese) to seven by adding Uzbek, Nepali, and Bengali.
Additionally, the Digital Desks at three branches frequently visited by international students?Daeyeon-dong Financial Center, Bansong-dong Branch, and Bupyeong-dong Branch?have been designated as 'International Student Consultation Counters,' and video consultation staff specialized in foreign customer financial services have been assigned.
For foreigners using the Digital Desk, transaction notification messages and mobile banking user guides are translated into English and sent together with Korean.
Digital Desk is a counter where customers can communicate with professional consultants via video, and it is capable of handling tasks at the same level as regular branch counters, including: ▲opening new deposit, installment savings, and housing subscription accounts ▲loan consultations and applications ▲foreign exchange services ▲new internet and mobile banking accounts ▲various card issuances.
This service is available to any foreigner aged 19 or older who has been issued a foreign registration card, passport, domestic residence report card, or permanent residence card.
Son Daejin, Head of Customer Planning Division at Busan Bank, stated, "We will continue to develop various services using digital channels so that foreign customers can handle their banking needs more easily and conveniently."
