According to political circles on the 7th, the second study group for first-term members, hosted by Representative Kim So-hee's office, will be held on the 23rd of next month with the theme of 'climate.' Since Representative Kim entered the 22nd National Assembly as a climate expert, it is interpreted that the study group will focus on related topics.

Previously, a second study group on semiconductors, hosted by Representative Go Dong-jin's office, was scheduled for the 29th of last month but was postponed. Professor Wi Gu-hyeon from Harvard University in the United States was expected to participate and give a lecture at this meeting. Representative Go Dong-jin stated, "It was postponed due to the National Assembly schedule, and considering the lecturer's schedule, it was delayed by several months." Representative Kim Dae-sik, head of the People Power Party first-term members' group, said in a phone call, "The second meeting scheduled last week was postponed because of the filibuster," adding, "(The study group) is planned up to the third session, and the fourth will address economic issues."

The study group, involving all 44 first-term members of the People Power Party, was launched on June 24 with the goal of holding sessions on the fourth Monday of every month. Originally, a study session was supposed to be held this month as well, but it was reported that scheduling was difficult due to the vacation season. At the first study group held at the National Assembly, the topic was Article 84 of the Constitution regarding the president's immunity from prosecution, focusing on the question, "If a defendant on trial becomes president, does the trial get suspended?" This was aimed at former Democratic Party leader Lee Jae-myung, who faces judicial risks. Members of the Assembly, constitutional law professors, and legal experts gathered to actively discuss this topic. All candidates for party leader at the time?Han Dong-hoon, Na Kyung-won, Yoon Sang-hyun, and Won Hee-ryong?also attended, drawing attention.
