Conducted for 390 Participants in Public Job Projects
Guro-gu (District Mayor Moon Heon-il) will conduct industrial safety and health education for participants in the second half of 2024 public job projects over two days, from the 6th to the 7th.
To prevent safety accidents that may occur during the working period and to create a healthy workplace atmosphere, Guro-gu has prepared industrial safety and health education sessions for 390 participants in the public job projects.
The education will be held at the Guro-gu Community Center auditorium for four hours each day, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on both days.
On the first day, health education covered ▲summer health management and disaster prevention ▲prevention of musculoskeletal disorders ▲infectious disease management and health checkups ▲accident and disaster cases and safety rules, conducted by Jang Cho-hee, a manager of the Major Accident Management Team in the Urban Safety Division of Guro-gu Office.
On the second day, Lee Joo-young, director of the Korea Occupational Safety and Health Agency, served as the instructor, providing customized industrial safety education for public job project participants, including concepts of safety management, cases of industrial accidents, and prevention methods.
Moon Heon-il, mayor of Guro-gu, stated, “I hope this education will be a meaningful first step in protecting both the safety and health of project participants,” and added, “Guro-gu will do its best to prevent safety accidents during the project period.”
The public job project is conducted to promote employment stability and livelihood support for vulnerable groups in employment, recruiting participants every semester.
