Gurye-gun, Jeollanam-do announced that the 2nd Jirisan Plant Detailed Illustration Contest will be held on September 21.
This contest was prepared to elevate the value of Jirisan native plants through detailed illustrations and to create new tourism demand.
The submission period is from August 12 to August 23, and anyone nationwide, including youth and adults, can participate. There is no entry fee.
Those who wish to submit their works can check the contest guidelines on the county website, download the application form, and submit it by mail or in person.
After judging the works, the county plans to select a total of 27 outstanding pieces: 9 from adults, 9 from middle and high school students, and 9 from elementary school students, and award them at the Soil Revival Expo Hall on September 21.
The winning works will be exhibited at the Soil Revival Expo Hall for three days from September 20 to 22, and then permanently displayed at the Gurye Native Plant Exhibition Hall.
Kim Sun-ho, the governor of Gurye-gun, said, "I hope this contest, linked with the Soil Revival Expo, will provide various attractions and serve as an opportunity to widely promote the beauty of Jirisan native plants."
