Olympic Athletes Try GAL AI Interpretation and Photo Editing

Team Samsung Galaxy members, including South Korea's Shin Yubin (table tennis) and An Seyoung (badminton), visited the Samsung Olympic Experience Center in the 2024 Paris Olympic and Paralympic Village.

On the 6th, Samsung Electronics announced that on the 25th of last month (local time) and the 3rd of this month, Team Samsung Galaxy members Shin Yubin, An Seyoung, Alejandra Orozco Rosa from Mexico (diving), and Jaeger Eaton from the USA (skateboarding) visited the Samsung Olympic Experience Center in the Olympic and Paralympic Village.

Samsung Electronics prepared the 'Travel with Galaxy AI' program so that global athletes of Team Samsung Galaxy could experience Galaxy artificial intelligence (AI). Athletes from various countries experienced AI translation features and the generative editing function of 'Photo Assist.' They also participated in missions to collect the 'Samsung 2024 Paris Olympic Pin' and exchanged pins among themselves.

Shin Yubin said, "It was great to meet Team Samsung Galaxy athletes in person and communicate without language barriers using Galaxy AI."

Jaeger Eaton said, "It was very interesting to create memories with Team Samsung Galaxy athletes and experience Galaxy AI features, communicating with global athletes in new ways."

South Korea's Kim Woo-min (swimming) visited the Samsung Olympic Experience popup at Paris' Place de la Marine on the 2nd. Kim Woo-min said, "I usually have a strong interest in digital devices and technology, so I enjoyed it a lot," adding, "I also visited the experience center in the athlete village and collected Olympic pins."

Kim expressed satisfaction with the Galaxy Z Flip6 Olympic Edition. He said, "The ability to hold the device like a camcorder for video recording and the 'Samsung Wallet,' which includes an unlimited public transportation card for Paris, are especially useful."

Regarding the 'Victory Selfie,' where athletes take their own photos on the Olympic podium, Kim said, "Taking selfies on the podium was very Gen Z and an unforgettable moment."
