The Fisheries Businessmen's Conference to Be Held at Hwaseong Gungpyeong Port After 6 Years

The Gyeonggi-do Fisheries Entrepreneurs Conference will be held at Gungpyeong Port in Hwaseong on the 13th, marking its first occurrence in six years.

Under the theme "With the Sea of Life! Towards a Hopeful Fisheries Industry!", over 400 fisheries entrepreneurs from the province will participate.

On the day of the event, the schedule will begin with coastal cleanup activities at Gungpyeong Port, followed by introductions of guests, the chairman's address, welcome speeches, congratulatory remarks, awards for meritorious persons, and the reading of a resolution to protect marine and fishery resources. Additionally, various side events such as juvenile fish release, academic presentations, a marine pollution photo exhibition, and CPR experience sessions will be held.

Jung Chan-il, chairman of the Korea Fisheries Entrepreneurs Association Gyeonggi-do Federation, stated, "The role of our fisheries entrepreneurs is becoming increasingly important in an industry facing the risk of extinction," adding, "I hope this Fisheries Entrepreneurs Conference will serve as an opportunity for all fisheries entrepreneurs in Gyeonggi-do to unite and promote sustainable development of the fisheries industry."
