Busan Gijang-gun Recruiting Students for 'Our Neighborhood Delivery Classes' and 'Visiting Alley Classes'

Recruitment for 100 Courses Including Language, Health, and Music

Gijang-gun, Busan (Governor Jung Jongbok) will be recruiting students for the second half of 2024 for the 'Our Neighborhood Delivery Classes' and 'Visiting Alley Classes' from June 12 to 14.

'Our Neighborhood Delivery Classes' is a lifelong learning program that delivers classes to the time and place desired by the learner. 'Visiting Alley Classes' is a branch of the delivery classes, specifically designed for underprivileged groups.

This semester, 100 classes will be offered in the fields of ▲Education & Academics ▲Languages ▲Health ▲Music ▲Art & Crafts ▲Computers & Communications ▲Home & Lifestyle. The courses will run for 10 weeks from September 23 to November 29. Both in-person classes at the desired location and online classes using platforms such as ZOOM will be available.

Applicants must be Gijang-gun residents aged 19 or older. For in-person classes, at least 10 learners are required, and for online classes, at least 7 learners are needed to apply. Alley Classes are only available for groups of 7 or more from underprivileged categories (▲Basic Livelihood Security recipients ▲Low-income households ▲Persons with disabilities ▲Multicultural, single-parent, or large families ▲Seniors aged 65 or older ▲Workers).

To apply, refer to the list of instructors on the Gijang-gun Lifelong Learning website, select a delivery instructor, and have a representative of the learners submit the application. Classes will be opened in order of highest score based on the evaluation criteria.

A Gijang-gun official stated, "We will actively support providing residents with broad opportunities for lifelong learning and access to a variety of classes."
