The Public Procurement Service announced on the 5th that it will publicly recruit the "6th Advisory Committee Members" who will be responsible for reviewing the appropriateness of designs (technical consultation) for large-scale projects (over 20 billion KRW) from the 5th to the 31st.
The recruitment scale is 330 advisory committee members who will work in 13 fields including eco-friendliness and safety. The selected advisory members will serve from October 1, 2024, to September 30, 2026. Eligibility for applying as an advisory member requires at least 10 years of experience in private companies or related institutions in the respective recruitment fields.
The design appropriateness review conducted by the advisory members involves supplementing and improving design content at each design stage such as planning, intermediate, and implementation, and judging the validity of field application as well as the appropriateness of budget and facility scale.
Among government agencies, the Public Procurement Service is the only one operating this system since 2013. Through this, the Public Procurement Service has achieved the effect of improving the design quality of public facilities through collaboration between public officials and private experts.
In particular, in this recruitment, the Public Procurement Service plans to give preference to those with experience in design or construction of "medical facilities" and "cultural and assembly facilities," which are projects requiring high-level expertise, in the fields of architectural planning and construction, and select them as specialized committee members.
For other detailed information regarding recruitment, including how to fill out the advisory member candidate registration form, please refer to the Public Procurement Service website.
Kang Seong-min, Director of the Facility Project Bureau at the Public Procurement Service, said, "We hope that many experts with know-how accumulated in the private sector and differentiated advanced technology will apply for this recruitment and generously demonstrate their capabilities and competencies in technical support tasks such as design review."
