On the same day, Kim Woo-jin won the gold medal in the men's individual archery final held in Lesign Valide, France, defeating the United States' Brady Ellison 6-5 in a shoot-off battle.

Following gold medals in the men's and women's team events, mixed team event, and women's individual event, Kim Woo-jin's victory in the men's individual event marked the first time Korean archery has won all five Olympic gold medals. This is the first time in eight years since the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Olympics that Korean archery has swept all events. At that time, there was no mixed team event, so only four medals were contested.

Kim Woo-jin won gold medals in the men's team, mixed team, and individual events. He became the third archer in Olympic history to achieve a triple crown, following An San (Gwangju Bank) at the Tokyo Olympics and Lim Si-hyun (Korea National Sport University) at this competition. Among male athletes, this is the first time in Olympic history.

Additionally, with his fifth individual Olympic gold medal, Kim Woo-jin set the record for the most gold medals by a Korean athlete across both Summer and Winter Olympics, surpassing Kim Soo-nyung (archery), Jin Jong-oh (shooting), and Jeon Yi-kyung (short track speed skating).

Lee Woo-seok (Kolon), who lost to Kim Woo-jin in the semifinals, won the bronze medal by defeating Germany's Florian Unruh in the third-place match.

Korean archery achieved its best-ever performance at this Olympics, winning a total of seven medals: five golds, one silver in the women's individual event, and one bronze in the men's individual event.

On the same day, boxer Lim Ae-ji (Hwasun County Office) won a bronze medal after losing 2-3 by decision to Hatice Akbas of Turkey in the women's 54kg semifinal. This is the first gold medal for a Korean female boxer and the first Olympic boxing medal in 12 years since Han Soon-chul's silver in the men's 60kg category at the 2012 London Games.

The Korean delegation added one gold and two bronze medals in archery and boxing on this day. The total medal count for the delegation stands at 24: 10 gold, 7 silver, and 7 bronze.

The Korean Sport & Olympic Committee initially aimed for five gold medals, but the Korean delegation doubled the target by achieving 10 gold medals.

Although a week remains until the closing ceremony, the delegation has already surpassed the records of the 2020 Tokyo Olympics (6 gold, 4 silver, 10 bronze, total 20) and the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Olympics (9 gold, 3 silver, 9 bronze, total 21).

On the 5th, the women's singles badminton final will take place featuring world No. 1 An Se-young (Samsung Life Insurance). An Se-young will compete against China's He Bingjiao (world No. 9) for the gold medal. This marks the first time in 28 years that a Korean player has reached the Olympic women's singles badminton final since Bang Soo-hyun, the gold medalist at the 1996 Atlanta Olympics.
