The South Korean judo team was relegated to the repechage round after losing to France in the mixed team event at the 2024 Paris Olympics.
The team lost 1-4 to France in the quarterfinals held on the 3rd at the Champ de Mars arena in Paris. The team aims to advance to the bronze medal match through the repechage round.

An Ba-ul (Namyangju City Hall), competing in the men's 73kg category, was defeated by penalty after receiving three shidos in his first match.
Kim Ji-su (Gyeongbuk Sports Council) secured an ippon victory with a seoi nage against Marie Eve Gahie in the women's 70kg category, but Han Joo-yeop (High1) in men's 90kg, Kim Ha-yoon (Ansan City Hall) in women's over 70kg, and Lee Jun-hwan (Yongin University) in men's over 90kg all suffered three consecutive defeats.
Kim Min-jong (Yangpyeong County Office), who injured his knee in the men's over 100kg final the previous day, was unable to participate in the quarterfinals due to injury.
Consequently, Lee Jun-hwan competed in the over 90kg category and faced France's Teddy Riner but was defeated by ippon. Lee Jun-hwan's individual competition weight class is 81kg.
