Family Conflicts and Sacrifices Due to Incurable Disease, Play 'Cycle'

Until the 11th at Daehangno Huam Stage

The play Cycle, which tells the story of a family whose son suffers from an incurable disease, will be performed at Huam Stage in Daehak-ro until the 11th.

A son who suffers from an incurable disease appears in his mother's dream. The son tells his mother that the sacrifice of the most precious person is necessary. To avoid the son's death, the parents force sacrifices from the people they love. At the end of the play, the true identity of the one who demands the sacrifice is revealed.

The production team of Cycle explained that the play unfolds the story of a family spanning four generations in a cyclical structure, addressing conflicts, sacrifices, and the issue of salvation within the family. They also stated that they drew inspiration from the Western Christian religious artwork 'Piet?' and reinterpreted it anew through literary and theatrical imagination.

Actors Rida Hae, Choi Ji-eun, Kim Jeong-guk, Hwang Ji-hoon, Park Noa, Jeon Min-jae, Kim Jin-woo, Yoon Sang-ho, Lee Seong-sun, and Lee Young-sook appear in the play.

Cycle is the fourth work by the theater company Dramatic Community Changjaksim, which was founded last year. Dramatic Community Changjaksim has previously performed works such as Thoughts and Absolute Zero.

Tickets can be reserved online through Interpark Ticket and Playticket. Weekday performances start at 7:30 PM, Saturdays at 3 PM and 6 PM, and Sundays at 3 PM.
