President Yoon Suk-yeol approved the appointments of Supreme Court Justices Noh Kyung-pil (59, 23rd Judicial Research and Training Institute class) and Park Young-jae (55, 22nd class) on the 2nd, the Presidential Office announced.
Justice Noh Kyung-pil graduated from Gwangju High School and Seoul National University Law School, and was appointed as a judge at the Seoul District Court in 1997. From 2006, he served for five years as a Supreme Court judicial research officer handling constitutional and administrative cases. Recently, he served as the chief presiding judge and presiding judge at the Suwon High Court.
Justice Park Young-jae graduated from Busan Baejeong High School and Seoul National University Law School, and was appointed as a judge at the Seoul Eastern District Court in 1996. He served as the Director of Planning and Coordination at the Court Administration Office, Deputy Director of the Court Administration Office, and later as a presiding judge at the Seoul High Court.
Earlier, the National Assembly approved the appointment consent bills for candidates Noh Kyung-pil and Park Young-jae at the plenary session the previous day.
