This project is being implemented through the 'Green Remodeling Project' contest hosted by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport. The city plans to invest a total of 1.42 billion KRW, including 1.335 billion KRW in budget secured through the contest selection, to carry out facility improvement construction at the daycare centers.

The Green Remodeling project funds secured through the contest selection will be used for daycare centers such as ▲Siril Bidulgi (Wondong) ▲Hanshin (Yangsan-dong) ▲Bodeumina Numi (Gajang-dong) ▲Yale (Galgot-dong) ▲Osan (Wondong) ▲Sucheong (Naesammi-dong). Additionally, Bodeumina Numi Daycare Center will have lighting replaced, and Sucheong Daycare Center will have both lighting and heating/cooling systems replaced.

Along with this, the city plans to invest 60 million KRW in national funds to improve the restroom for disabled persons at Rodem Daycare Center (Gwoldong), a social welfare corporation, and to replace wallpaper and lighting at the public Kkotdari Daycare Center (Geumam-dong).

For private and home daycare centers, 25 million KRW in provincial funds will be invested respectively. Daycare centers with a capacity of 21 or more children will receive up to 3 million KRW, and those with fewer than 21 children will receive up to 2 million KRW. This is under the condition that 50% of the total project cost is self-funded. The supported funds will be used for repairs of aging kitchens and restrooms, removal of asbestos-containing facilities, and improvement of emergency disaster facilities.

Lee Gwon-jae, Mayor of Osan City, said, "Improving childcare environments is of utmost importance to solve the low birthrate problem," and added, "We will continue to do our best to secure budgets to make the city a better place to raise children."
