Utilization of Circuit Lead Vehicles and Racing Taxis
Hyundai Motor Company's Ioniq 5N has been selected as the first electric vehicle to serve as an official car at the Fuji Speedway circuit in Japan.
On the 2nd, Hyundai announced that the Ioniq 5N will be used as the lead car at Fuji Speedway circuit from this month until July 31 of next year. It will also be utilized for lead driving at events hosted by Fuji Speedway and as a racing taxi for customers visiting the circuit.
Fuji Speedway, located in Shizuoka Prefecture, Japan, is a circuit capable of hosting international motorsport events such as Formula 1. It measures 4.56 km in length and features 16 corners.
The Ioniq 5N, Hyundai's first electric model under its high-performance N brand, began sales in the Japanese market in June.
Cho Won-sang, head of Hyundai Motor's Japan branch, said, "Customers visiting Fuji Speedway and motorsport fans in Japan will be able to experience the appeal of Hyundai's high-performance N brand and the Ioniq 5N. We will strive to provide driving enjoyment through the Ioniq 5N and help Japanese customers become more familiar with electric vehicles."
