Shin Yu-bin (Korean Air), Korea's female table tennis ace, defeated Miu Hirano (Japan) 4-3 in the women's singles quarterfinals held on the 2nd (Korean time) at the South Paris Arena in Paris, France, achieving the remarkable feat of reaching the singles semifinals for the first time in 20 years since the 2004 Athens Olympics.

Lim Ae-ji (Hwasun County Office) is set to become Korea's first female boxing Olympic medalist. Lim advanced to the semifinals by winning a 3-2 decision over Yeni Marcela Arias Casta?eda (Colombia) in the women's 54kg quarterfinals held at the North Paris Arena in Paris.
In Olympic boxing, there is no separate bronze medal match; both semifinal losers receive bronze medals. Thus, Lim Ae-ji has brought a medal to Korean boxing for the first time in 12 years since Han Sun-chul's silver in the men's 60kg category at the 2012 London Games. Lim will face Hatice Akba? (T?rkiye) in the semifinals on the 4th at 11:34 p.m. Korean time.
In the badminton mixed doubles semifinals, where a showdown between Taeguk warriors took place after securing a silver medal, the juniors emerged victorious.

This is the first time in 16 years since the 2008 Beijing Games that Korean badminton has reached the mixed doubles final, following the gold medal win by Lee Yong-dae and Lee Hyo-jung. This silver medal marks Korea's best performance since the 2008 Beijing Games (1 gold, 1 silver, 1 bronze).
Kim Won-ho and Jung Na-eun will face the Chinese pair Zheng Siwei and Huang Yaqiong around 11:10 p.m. Korean time on the 2nd in a fierce battle for the gold medal. Seo Seung-jae and Chae Yoo-jung will compete against Japan's Watanabe and Higashino for the bronze medal.

Lee Eun-ji (17, Bangsan High School), the youngest member of the Korean swimming team, advanced to the semifinals for the first time ever for a Korean swimmer in this event by ranking 10th overall with a time of 2:09.88 in the women's 200m backstroke heats held at the La D?fense swimming pool in Paris. However, she slipped back in the semifinals with a time of 2:11.86, finishing 15th and failing to advance to the final.
Korea has recorded 6 gold medals, 3 silver medals, and 3 bronze medals in this competition so far.
